Although we grew up in the same tiny farming town of Cedarville, our paths only truly crossed years later in Stellenbosch.

 

What started as an unexpected bump into each other soon became more than coincidence — it became a reminder of God’s perfect timing. Through shared conversations, quiet moments, and countless memories, the Lord gently wove our lives together in ways we never could have planned ourselves.

What began so simply soon grew into something deeply special: a love story grounded in faith, grace, and the belief that Christ is at the center of it all. Rooted in Christ, guided by purpose, and strengthened through prayer, we found in each other not only love, but a partner to walk alongside in God’s calling for our lives.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 reminds us of the strength found in unity: “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.

Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

 

With Christ at the center of our relationship, we believe our love is strengthened, sustained, and anchored in something far greater than ourselves.
